This plant is sold in a 12cm plastic nursery pot.
Light:
These plants can survive in low light however they will not thrive and become 'leggy', they will grow faster and produce more leaves in bright indirect light. The variegation will also become more pronounced in more light. A little soft direct sun is ok, however, do not leave your plant in the full midday sun. The full sun will burn the foliage.
Water:
The Heart Leaf is hardly and forgiving when it comes to watering, allow the top 50% of the soil to dry between waterings. When it comes time to watering make sure you thoroughly water the plant. Yellow leaves may indicate overwatering, while browning leaves/tips may indicate the plant needs more water and humidity.
Humidity:
Everyday household humidity is generally fine for your Heart Leaf, higher humidity will encourage larger leaves. It will also benefit some the occasional misting and wiping of the leaves.
Fertiliser:
These plants will benefit from monthly feeding in the spring and summer months.
Toxicity:
Toxic to pets and humans, can induce vomiting.
