The Dwarf Summer Love is the miniature version of the Summer Love as the, name suggests, which is the only point of difference between the two. The Dwarf Summer Love is a consistent bloomer over the warmer periods of summer, which creates a stunning, vibrant crimson contrast amongst the green foliage! The flowers themselves are unique looking, as they are fluffy and abundant in nature.

Botanical Name: Acalypha pendula 

Water: This plant enjoys an even, moist soil (especially throughout summer) however, not soaking. When blooming, it’s a great idea to check the soil every 2nd-3rd day as the plant will be using more water than usual. Remember to remove any excess water from the watering tray to ensure root rot is avoided.

Light: This plant enjoys indirect light during the summer time while in winter, up to 4 hours of sunlight is perfect for plant maintenance in the cooler season. 

Potting Media: A standard high-quality indoor plant mix.

Humidity: This plant originates from a high humidity country so anywhere from 50-60% humidity year-round is a great idea to maintain this plant. 

Temperature: An average of 18°-29° year-round is recommended. This plant will not enjoy a droughty spot & will thrive in a draft-free, dry place (especially throughout winter). 

Fertiliser: Use a balanced fertiliser once a month during Spring and Summer. We recommend the Dyna Gro Foliage-Pro as this fertiliser contains all the required nutrients that will support foliage growth in your plant.
