Aeschynanthus Parasiticus 'Lipstick Plant' 17cm Basket

This lovely plant has a thick, glossy foliage that cascades downwards; a great plant to have in a hanging basket! Not only does the 'Lipstick Plant' have a beautiful, dark green foliage ... the Aeschynanthus varieties can also produce either a vibrant red, orange, burgundy or yellow bloom. 

This plant is sold in a 17cm plastic nursery pot.

Basic Care Requirements: 

Water: This plant prefers slightly damp soil but not completely soaked. Remember to remove any excess water to ensure root-rot is avoided!

Light: Loves bright indirect light, harsh direct sun will burn the leaves and fade the colour. They can handle low light conditions as well however they won't thrive as much as they will in a brightly lit area. 

Soil: A standard high-quality indoor plant mix will be fine.

Humidity: They love high humidity levels and a warm position as they are a tropical plant.

Fertiliser: Use a balanced fertiliser once a month during Spring and Summer. We recommend the Dyna Gro GROW fertilizer which promotes the growth of new foliage, flowers, + aids in the general wellbeing of your plant.
