Workshop Highlights:

Create Your Masterpiece: We have a couple of creative ways to make our living wreaths, this includes the initial wreath and the different plant combantions. Please read on for information on each process and plant options available at the time of the selected workshop. All materials and plants included to craft your masterpiece. Just bring your enthusiasm. For those eager to expand their botanical horizons, additional supplies and plants will be available for purchase.

All Materials Provided (options below):

Wreath:

  1. Locally sourced supplejack vines
  2. House-made wreath from premium Westcoast spagnum moss

Plants:

  1. Succulent and/or cacti
  2. Epiphyte plants 
  3. Air plants including spanish moss

Guided by our experts, you'll learn the ropes and create a wreath that embodies beauty and vitality. We provide comprehensive instructions and all the materials you need to transform supplejack vines sourced locally into a stunning living artwork.

Unleash Your Creativity: Your wreath is a blank canvas waiting to be adorned with vibrant succulents, cacti, airplants or epiphytes. Whether you prefer a subtle touch or an opulent display, the choice is yours.

No Experience Necessary: Absolutely no prior experience is required. We provide all wreath materials, equipment, a variety of plants, and a delightful assortment of refreshments and snacks to keep your energy flowing.

Crafting and Caring: We will guide you through the intricate process of crafting our wreath plant displays, from the initial building to nurturing their growth. Learn expert tips on wreath care to ensure your creations thrive, we’ll share valuable insights on plant care every step of the way. Kindly note that after crafting your wreath, it should be laid flat for about three-four weeks to allow the roots to establish before you hang it up proudly.

The Secret Life of Epiphytes & Succulents: Delve into the world of epiphytic plants as we explore their fascinating characteristics and the reasons behind their distinct behaviours. Gain an in-depth understanding of these wonderful plants - their unique characteristics and the mysteries of why they thrive as they do.

All-Inclusive Experience: Your journey into the world of mounted plants is made seamless with all necessary materials provided. Immerse yourself in the chill vibes of creativity and learning.

Open to All: Whether you're a passionate plant parent or just starting your green journey, our workshop welcomes enthusiasts of all levels. Join our community of plant lovers, share insights, and create lasting memories. Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult, purchase two tickets and build a creation each-or purchase one ticket and build one together.  

Venue: The workshop takes place at The Power Plant’s Studio, conveniently located in Paraparaumu Beach

Parking: Ample parking is available on the surrounding streets, as well as a car park behind FourSquare via Seaview Rd (you can walk through Watson’s building to find us!)
